Tire Type :
P = Passenger Vehicles
LT = Light Truck

Tire width :
Measured in millimeters

Aspect Ratio :
The ratio of height to width-sectional tire

Construction :
R = Radial (ply walk straight across the tire from the inside out
B = Bias (ply is criss-crossed)



Diameter Wheels :
Largest distance from wheel tread to tread (inches)

Load Index :
Maximum load (pounds) of tire can support when properly increases the load index table
(EG Load Index = 85, Pounds = 1135)

Load Capacity :
Maximum load (pounds or kilograms), the tire can support

Speed Rating :
Maximum speed for the tire service based in the speed-rating chart

Rating Symbol Maximum Speed (mph) :
Q 99
S 112
T 118
U 124
H 130
V 149
W ZR 168
Y 186

Tread-wear Grade :
Tire wear rate - 200 valuation would wear twice as long as a tire with a rating of 100.

Tire * use this value only applies when comparing the same tire manufacturer.

Traction Grade :
Tire ability to stop on wet pavement (AA-Very Best, A-Best, B-Intermediate, C-Acceptable)

Temperature Class :
Tire resistance to heat generation (A-Best, B-Intermediate, C-Acceptable)

Tire Type

M & S or the Four Seasons ICO : All-season tires (not recommended for extreme cold climates or wet snow)

Winter : Especially for winter conditions

 
Summer : Special to the summer conditions (dry & wet some driving)


Performance : To improve handling, cornering ability, traction


Trucks : Note the rating is close to the load and tire pressure (Consult your vehicle's specifications for this information).
